Bruce was a member of the faculty at the University of Northern Iowa, School of Music in Cedar Falls from 1969 until his retirement in 1999. He has performed with many well-known entertainers such as Bob Hope, Jim Nabors, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Anita Bryant, Carman Cavalara, Victor Borgie, the Four Freshman, Blackstone the Magician, Bobby Vinton and John Davidson.

    I have personally heard these strange sounds coming from the sky. My dog was disturbed by it initially and woke me up, otherwise I’d probably have slept through the whole thing. The sound was the same intensity outside as inside my house. It came and went at regular intervals of about two to three minutes each until it finally stopped altogether.

    Whatever else it may be – it was definitely not a hoax. I have noticed, however, that those who’ve not heard it think its fake. Pretty much like fantastic sex, you’ve got to experience it to believe it can happen to you.
